Felicity Devey, Dietitian & Sport & Exercise Nutritionist
Making ‘winning well’ more likely for Wales - Learnings from Sports Nutrition
Coleg Llandrillo - University Centre, Rhos-on-Sea Campus: Monday 7 April, 6pm
As a performance nutritionist Felicity has worked with Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth, World & European medallists from across Sport. From Gymnasts, to professional Rugby Union players, Race Walkers to sprinters.
She was selected to support ParalympicsGB at Tokyo2020 using her expertise to help athletes deliver on their biggest stage.
But what does it take to win well? And how can sports science & medicine support Welsh sport to make winning well more likely? Felicity’s talk will focus on her learnings from practicing as a Performance Nutritionist.
As well as focussing on how Sport Wales has revolutionised its provision of Sports Science & Medicine services to Welsh sport and the resulting skills required of future practitioners.

Craig Knight, Player Development FAW & U18 Head Coach
Coaching in a National Elite Environment
Working in player development for the Welsh Football Association, Craig has also completed a Master’s Degree in Sport & Exercise Sciences, and is a Pro Licence Coach.
His role involves the identification and development of talent from nine years of age through to pro level; liaising with club academy managers and coaches, to ensure action plans are aligned. He also creates and delivers development programmes with Welsh talent to help feed into the Welsh National Squads.
Craig was also the first coach in Wales to compete in the UEFA European U17 Championship finals.

"I loved watching sport when I was younger, but because of my disability I was never allowed to participate. Never did I think from the age of 10 that my life would change.
"I was introduced to the world of wheelchair basketball and from the first session, I was hooked.
"Many doors opened which I did not expect. After only playing the sport for less than a year, I was chosen to represent Wales at national under 15 level.
"Now at 10 years of competing, I am a U23 European Champion, Premier League player and studying Sport Psychology at Loughborough University."
