Course Description
The level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering is designed to provide the skills, knowledge and competence requirements to work at craft or technician level.
It allows the apprentice to gain technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with essential and personal skills, required for their immediate job and future career.

- Electrical Maintenance Engineering
- Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
- Engineering Manufacturing
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Engineering Tool making
- Installation and Commissioning
Entry Criteria
- 3 GCSE’s grade C (new equivalent grade 4) or above including Maths, English/Welsh, and one other.
- Must have a suitable employer who can cover the NVQ criteria.
Delivery
- Technical training is provided in the college 1 day per week, including time in practical workshops.
- Aeronautical Engineering is available to candidates who have successfully completed the full time Level 3 BTEC Aeronautical Engineering
Assessment
- Completion of a portfolio of evidence
- Work based observations
- Theory based tasks and tests
