Course Description
This course introduces you to the basic formalities of drawing and painting. Drawing is taught from observation and is geared to develop your mark-making skills and personal visual language. You may have a level of skill already in drawing and/or painting which you want to enhance through this course; it is very popular and is often a springboard to further creative visual practice.

Entry Criteria
No formal requirements – enthusiasm and curiosity for the subject.
Delivery
Practical work, demonstration and experimental approaches.
Assessment
Unit assessed and internally verified at the end of the 8 week course.
Progression
Further short leisure courses to develop a personal body of work or portfolio.
Development of a portfolio to join other full time or part time courses for example Level 2 or 3 provision such as UAL Diplomas or Foundation Studies Art and Design.
