Course Description

In Wales, there is an increasing number of organisations providing information, advice and/or guidance in specialist areas from careers advice and employability skills to money management and support services.

This Level 4 course is ideal for individuals whose job role involves working with clients providing information and support, assisting individuals to address barriers and make informed choices.

Relevant sectors include, but are not limited to:

  • Support services
  • Careers advice
  • Advocacy
  • Jobcentres
  • Voluntary sector
  • Employment-related services

In addition, many people work in roles where they may not even be aware they are offering an advice and guidance service, or where this only forms a small part of their role - for example, those working within an HR department, in the police and the education sector, fitness coaches and training advisers.

This framework aims to help the sector meet this growing demand by formally recognising the professionalism of the sector, improve productivity, performance and customer satisfaction.
