Course Description

This Apprenticeship provides a sustainable opportunity to address the current and future skills shortages identified by the sector. It will support the attraction of new entrants by providing a structured route to job competence and career progression and can also be used to up skill existing staff. It provides the ability for employers to “grow their own” workforce where technically competent individuals are increasingly difficult to recruit. The Apprenticeship enables employers to identify managers of the future and support succession planning whilst delivering tangible benefits such as reduced staff turnover.

Entry Criteria

  • Apprentices must have an employer who can cover the NVQ criteria

Delivery

A majority of training is provided in the workplace, however the college will require all learner to attend college based sessions to complete theory tasks and tests.

Assessment

  • Completion of a portfolio of evidence
  • Work based observations
  • Theory based tasks and tests
