Course Description
The course covers the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations and the Technical Competency Requirements for Domestic Heating and Hot Water Systems for Energy Efficiency. The course is aligned to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and mapped by SummitSkills.
New boilers and system upgrades should be installed by a 'competent person' registered with a building regulations scheme operator or signed off by building control of the local authority.

Entry Criteria
Applicants should be experienced installers of gas, oil, or solid fuel domestic central heating systems
The Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating is for plumbers, gas fitters and anyone involved in the plumbing and heating sector and installing condensing boilers.
