Course Description
The course is aimed at accounts personnel who are currently responsible for the administration of a manual or partly computerised accounting system.
It is suitable for those who are studying in preparation for employment in bookkeeping/accounts job roles and wish to gain a broad experience in using computerised accounts software.
Entry Criteria
There are no formal entry requirements. However, knowledge of basic bookkeeping terms, computer awareness and keyboarding skills are essential.
Delivery
Formal tuition, using simple step-by-step workbook.
It is the aim of the course to introduce a highly efficient computerised filing system. It will enable you to have a broad experience and widen your competence in using computerised accounts software. The course uses the latest SAGE Line 50 software, popular with many businesses and industry. These short courses are run throughout the academic year (Term time ONLY).
You will learn the set up and operating features of:
- The Sales Ledger
- The Purchase Ledger
- The Nominal Ledger
- The Bank and Cash accounts (payments, receipts and bank transfers)
- Bank Reconciliation
- Producing financial reports
- Computer data security.
Assessment
Completion of student portfolio containing evidence of work and in class assessments.
