Course Description

Food manufacturing is as varied as the many foods on the market today. Meat, poultry, fish and seafood can be slaughtered, dressed and processed. Milk can be pasteurised or used for cheese or yoghurt production. Fruits and vegetables can be dried, preserved or frozen. Crops are processed into flour, bread, biscuits, cakes or cereals. Chocolates and sweets are produced from cocoa and sugar. Fats, oils and margarine can be packaged and have added flavours. Quality control and food safety are vital to the food manufacturing industry.

Food Technology Centre (FTC) in Llangefni is one of the three food tech centres in Wales. We are the leading provider of specialised food manufacturing courses in North Wales.
