Course Description

This course is an introductory course allowing you to develop their skills in a range of different areas. Units available cover a wide range of technical areas. To enable employment in a range of occupations, it will be designed to introduce you to a range of different technologies: web development, programming and computer systems.

It is not expected that you have detailed technical knowledge but basic IT skills would be an advantage. It is ideal for you if you wish to retrain for a job in technology or to start your path to learning at a higher level.

Entry Criteria

4 GCSEs at grade C or above ideally including Welsh/English or Maths

Delivery

The qualification uses a range of delivery tools. Learning will take place in a classroom using lectures, research tasks and group work. Some additional work will need to be undertaken outside of the classroom to complete assessments.

Assessment

All assessments are completed through course work assignments.

Progression

You could continue with further study in the area eventually progressing to degree-level study.
