Course Description

This qualification supports the progression of learners who have completed an Early Years qualification and would like to work in playwork settings or who seek to embrace a playwork approach in their current setting. It is recognised by workforce regulators in this capacity.

Entry Criteria

Learners who have already achieved a level 3 regulated qualification in either Children’s Care Learning and Development, Children and Young People’s Workforce or Early Years Educator. Level 3 qualifications in Youth Work, Children’s Social Care and Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development will also meet the qualification entry requirements for this qualification.

Work in a playwork establishment.

Must be over 18 years of age.

Delivery

An assessor is assigned to you to meet with you once a month and have access to an electronic portfolio.

Assessment

No exams, or coming into college, the course can be done in your own time. Three theory units working on an electronic portfolio.

Progression

If in a management role you could go on to do the Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development Level 4.
