Domestic Gas Foundation Course (Managed Learning Program) Rhos-on-SeaShort Course
Course Description
Candidates that are working in the plumbing /gas industries, but do not hold the required qualifications to become Gas Safe registered.
Entry Criteria
Proven experience in the gas industry and/or Plumbing/Heating NVQ Level 2 or 3. You must be able to produce a portfolio of evidence of a range of gas work, countersigned by a current Gas Safe Registered operative.
Delivery
40 days in the classroom/workshop in conjunction with onsite experience (candidates to arrange for themselves).
Assessment
Completion of a portfolio of evidence of gas work carried out in the workplace. BPEC set assessments to be carried out in College.
Progression
ACS assessment (practical and theory). This will allow candidates to apply for Gas Safe registration, CCN1 (pipework) + 1 appliance. After six months on the Gas Safe register, progression to further gas appliance training and assessment, if additional elements are required.
