This unit covers the requirements for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging points and follows the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation
This unit is aimed at learners/electricians who are already conversant in inspection and testing and the wiring regulations.

Entry Criteria
1. REQUIRED 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations award (e.g. C&G 2380 series or EAL 603/3298/0) and
2. REQUIRED Level 3 Testing and Inspection award (C&G 2391 or equivalent) and
3. REQUIRED NVQ Level 3 electrotechnical or equivalent (Historic awards such as C&G 236 Part 2 or “B” Certificate
Participants will require a copy of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation (4th Edition)
Delivery
Lectures and practical demonstration of installed Electric Vehicle equipment and test approaches. An element of self-study is required.
