Course Description
Would you like a career in any of the following pathways?

- Engineering craft
This course is practical and hands-on. You will perform tasks in industry standard workshops to develop a wide range of skills including; basic hand skills, fabrication, welding, maintenance and electrical wiring.
Entry Criteria
- 2 GCSE grades G or above or successful completion of School Link Level 1 programme,
- Or, strong interest, ambition and successful interview with satisfactory attendance record from previous training/school.
Delivery
The programme will be delivered through a blend of the following:
- Practical demonstrations
- Classroom activities
- Realistic workshop tasks
Your programme will include a combination of:
- Essential Skills qualifications and/or
- GCSE resits
Assessment
The programme will be assessed through a blend of the following:
- Practical assessment
- Online assessment
- Oral questioning
- Written questions
- Short learner task sheets for you to complete independently
Progression
Successful completion of this course allows you to progress on to any of the following:
- Engineering Craft Level 2
- Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2
- Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2
- Fabrication & Welding Level 2
- Apprenticeship Level 3 in Engineering
