Course Description

Are you hoping to start a career in hairdressing? Would you like to enhance your knowledge and technical skills?

This practical programme builds on your existing understanding and teaches you how to become a stylist. You will study all parts of hairstyling, including cutting, colouring, blow-drying and setting hair of various types and lengths.

You will also develop skills in client consultation, reception work, hair/scalp treatments and health and safety. The programme is suitable for students progressing from a Level 1 Hairdressing programme, and will continue to prepare you for a career in the hair and beauty sector.

Entry Criteria

In order to qualify for this course, you will need to have completed Scalp Massage Level 2.

You will also require an attendance level of 86% in your previous year of study.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to attend an interview to give you the opportunity to discuss the course.

If you don't achieve a C or above in Maths and/ or English/Welsh, we will support you to retake these subjects as part of your study programme.
