Course Description
This course provides an introduction to digital photography using a digital camera. The course covers composition such as the rule of thirds, photographic techniques, camera controls and types of cameras.
There are some photo editing tasks using computer based photo-editing software. A beginners’ course in computers may assist your progress on this course.
Entry Criteria
- Suitable for those with an enquiring mind and an interest in photography.
- Suitable for those with experience of using computers
All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
Delivery
Lessons will be taught in a fully equipped computer bay using a wide range of teaching methods. There will be lectures, discussions, and practical demonstrations, video clips and project based work.
Assessment
This course is portfolio-based, so you will compile a folder of your work covering two units which will be marked by the tutor.
