Course Description

This course is an introduction to programming industrial robots, anyone with an interest in robotics or is looking to expand their skills to start a career in programming industrial robots should apply. Students will learn how to operate industrial robots, create, edit and prove new programs as well as learn about the safety aspects of industrial robots.

Entry Criteria

None (good PC skills preferable)

Delivery

Delivery will be a mixture of hands-on experience with industrial robots as well as programming via software.

Assessment

Course will have 3 practical assessment tasks as well as a set of knowledge based questions to complete by the end of the 10 weeks.

Progression

Progression opportunities include; other short courses offered in the engineering sector, full time courses offered by the college, part time apprenticeship courses.
