Course Description
This course teaches punctuation, grammar and sentence structure through creative writing. Each week, learners are given a creative writing task to complete as homework. Everyone reads their work to the group, which improves their ability to read their own work to others and to give and receive supportive, constructive feedback. The tutor marks each individual work, correcting points of grammar. In class, we look at different rules of grammar and punctuation as they come up or as they are needed for the different genres of writing. Online quizzes are also often used to help students learn rules of grammar.
