Course Description
Basic Common Induction Standard (BCIS); Basic Nuclear Industry Context (BNIC)
The BNIC has the aim of ensuring the following 3 learning outcomes:
- Know about radiation and contamination for safe working in the nuclear industry
- Know about the history of nuclear, the lessons learned for future safe operation and how nuclear energy is produced and used
- Know about the importance of nuclear safety culture and the need for compliance within the industry.
Entry Criteria
All places are subject to satisfactory interview.

Assessment
- The knowledge and understanding elements will be assessed, recorded and evidenced separately.
