Course Description
Whilst the qualification has been specifically designed to meet the needs of those already working with children and young people in schools. The Level 2 qualification develops knowledge and understanding and so is suitable for those seeking a role in a school as well as those already employed.
The Level 3 Diploma provides underpinning knowledge and understanding suitable for those who work to support children’s learning and wellbeing and is therefore recommended for those who are in or aspire to such roles.

Entry Criteria
Learners must be in employment or working as a volunteer in a school setting – working as a classroom support assistant
An interview must be had prior to starting on the qualification.
Delivery
Observations, direct learning from the individual, professional discussions, and whiteness testimonies from the employer.
It is possible for an individual to complete this course through the medium of Welsh or English.

Written work, observations, discussions etc
Progression
From the Level 2 it’s possible to progress on to the Level 3 qualification (Please note that once qualified many individuals then gain a higher salary within their current employment).
