    Disgrifiad o'r Cwrs

    The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) course focuses on best industry practices for managing and implementing safety management systems.

    It is aimed at managers, supervisors and anyone in the construction sector. It is ideal for anyone who needs a broad understanding of construction health and safety issues to be able to manage day to day risks effectively.

    On completion of the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) you will have the knowledge and skills to:

    Justify the need for health and safety improvements using moral and financial arguments

    Advise on duties and manage construction risks under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015

    Positively influence health and safety culture and behaviour to improve performance in organisations

    Recognise workplace changes that have significant health and safety impacts and effective ways to minimise those impacts

    Develop basic safe systems of work (including taking account of typical emergencies) and knowing when to use permit-to-work systems for special risks

    Take part in incident investigations

    Carry out a risk assessment of a construction site and manage a range of common hazards, evaluating risks (taking account of current controls), recommending further control measures, and planning actions

    Produce or contribute to a construction phase plan

    Help to manage contractors

    This course will be remotely delivered by a tutor in a virtual classroom and delegates must have access to a suitable PC, laptop or tablet with a camera, speakers and a robust internet connection sufficient to cope with online delivery

    Gofynion mynediad

    There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however this NEBOSH certificate is a Level 3 qualification equivalent to an A Level or equivalent UK college qualification. This means that the qualification is a demanding qualification to study and learners must be prepared and willing to study at this level.

    Learners must have a suitable standard of English language to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

    Cyflwyniad

    This course is delivered by taught sessions and group work.

    Asesiad

    The assessment is an open book examination (OBE), which will be based on a realistic scenario, which will test both what you know and what you can do. You will be asked to carry out a series of tasks using evidence from the scenario and the underpinning knowledge gained through your studies and revision. You will have 48 hours to download, complete and submit your assessment.

    Your assessment will be marked by an external examiner appointed by NEBOSH. These examiners are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure that learners are assessed by the very best from our industry.
