The Program is funded by the Crown Estate and is managed by the North Wales Wildlife Trust and is implemented in partnership with the Crown Estate, M-SParc, Menter Môn and Natural Resources Wales (NRW). Each partner organization provides opportunities for the intern to develop on-the-job skills in specialist areas, including marine conservation advice, sustainable fisheries, renewable energy development, marine policy, and community engagement. Through the program the intern will be offered experience and a balanced view of a career in the marine environment and how different sectors can work together. The intern will have the opportunity to undertake an independent research project focusing on a topic relevant to each partner. Additional activities will include stakeholder engagement, creation of virtual educational outreach materials and ecological fieldwork.

It is essential that the successful candidates have an understanding of Welsh culture and the Welsh language, with the ability to work within a bilingual team and commit to learning the language if they do not speak Welsh.
