Playworker

To assist the Club Manager in the day-to-day running of the after-school club/holiday club, to provide a safe and stimulating play environment for the children attending the club.
Whilst working in line with the standards set out by CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) and Play works Childcare Policies and Procedures.
The role of the Playworker includes -
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the club, setting up the club and cleaning at the end of the session.
- Working in partnership with parents and the Club Manager to plan for the individual needs and preferences of the children.
- Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development.
- Ensuring that the club is welcoming and friendly, while taking into account all health and safety issues.
- Providing the children with a healthy and nutritious snack.
- Ensuring that all the policies set out by Play works childcare are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications/experience required:
The successful applicant must hold a Level 2/3 Play work qualification or be willing to work towards. An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
