Seasonal Catering Assistant

We are currently looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team here in The Rockpool Café at Anglesey Sea Zoo. We are seeking someone with a friendly and flexible approach, who can work in a team, adapt to changes according to customer demand and help to promote a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Experience of a busy kitchen/ Café and customer service is preferred, although full training will be provided.

This position would suit a person who has a passion for food, someone who is a keen home cook with a good understanding of food hygiene.

Food hygiene certification is preferable but not essential.

You will be expected to prepare simple fresh food, including hot and cold meals, and serve pre-cooked cakes, pastries and drinks and maintain optimum standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

You will be able to assist in organising the ordering of stock and other tasks required to run a busy kitchen. These duties will be discussed at interview.

The hours are 4-5 days per week from 9:00 - 17:00 until September. No split shifts, some flexibility with working hours around core times and around other seasonal employees. Some weekend and bank holiday working is expected.

Hourly rate with benefits will be discussed depending upon experience, responsibilities and availability.
