Trainee Business Support Officer

Exciting apprentice roles available within a busy office environment, developing skills and knowledge across a range of aspects, including general administration, HR, workforce development, finance & payroll, with the potential to specialise.

Daily Duties

  • Reception cover, including using a multiline phone system, message taking and emails
  • Electronic and hard copy filing of a range of data, including confidential, HR, training and other information
  • Inputting of data into relevant systems and retrieving data as needed to support the business needs
  • Minute taking and transcribing audio recordings
  • Support with marketing activities (including online / social media and in person
  • Responding to low level enquires e.g. ICT, HR, Payroll and signposting more complex issues to the relevant people

Desirable personal qualities of apprentice

  • Able to develop relationships which inspire respect
  • High level of energy and commitment with the initiative to plan and deliver successful outcomes
  • Ability to take the initiative and responsibility and identify and report things outside of the roles remit if required
  • Self-motivated and dynamic with the skills to identify issues and implement prompt solutions
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Understands data protection and equality legislation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (or equivalent e.g., Google Workspace) and confidence in using IT
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing appropriate to the audience and the circumstances, setting clear direction, goals, and commitment to the success and priorities of the service

Qualifications required

  • 5 GCSE’s with English / Welsh and Mathematics at C Grade
  • Welsh speaking and writing skills desirable
