Salary
Our generous salary scales compare favourably with other employers in North Wales. Lecturing staff can receive up to £47K per annum, with support & management roles rising to over £66K per annum
Pension
Alongside competitive salaries, you can also benefit from either the Teachers or the Local Government Pension Scheme. Both offer benefits unmatched by the private sector, helping you achieve your longer-term plans.
Holidays
In a lecturing role, you will receive 46 days annual leave a year, with management and support staff receiving between 28 and 37 days. Regardless of role, we also provide an additional Christmas break of up to 5 days per year. You work hard, so time with family and to recharge those batteries is vital.
Flexibility
We actively support a healthy work-life balance with a varied range of national contracts agreed with your unions to give you that perfect balance. Hours and working days are agreed to meet both the needs of the individual and the organisation.

Welsh language
The Grŵp is the largest provider of Welsh training in Wales. Whatever your skills, the College is committed to helping you develop these further, offering access to tutors, courses, and online facilities, and of course a great environment in which to practice it.
Union membership
The College benefits from fantastic relationships with various Unions formally recognised to support lecturing, business support, and management staff. You are therefore encouraged to consider membership with UCU, UCAC, UNISON, UNITE, or NEU, dependent upon your chosen career.
Employee induction and engagement
As a new employee, your first days, weeks and months are critical.
The Grŵp is committed to building and nurturing this early relationship, and therefore offers a detailed and comprehensive induction programme tailored to you and your new role.
This will be explained by HR and your line manager, with progress monitored via your online personal file.
This personal journey will include the following:
- Introductions to your team, colleagues and departments
- Details of IT systems, including the issuing of passwords
- Introduction to online training facilities
