Remembrance Day
Monday 11 November 2024
Remembrance is an opportunity to pause and reflect on giving thanks and honouring the memory of those who gave their lives to defend our democratic freedoms.
Remembering others in this way does not glorify conflict. Instead, it aims to unite people across faiths, cultures and backgrounds when we take a moment to commemorate lives lost and celebrate the lives of people that have and do serve.
We participate in Remembrance to never forget. We remember friends, family members and acquaintances who have shown courage, unity and sacrifice during active service from the First World War right up to the present day.

Reach Out, Anti Bullying Week, (Peer on Peer Harassment)
Monday 11 November 2024 - Friday 15 November 2024
Peer on Peer Sexual Harassment - Group Tutorial Resources
Odd Socks Day - Monday 13th November.
Anti-Bullying Week: the UK theme this year is 'reach out'. Bullying and harassment affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it. And it starts by reaching out. Whether it’s in college, at home, in the community or online, let’s reach out and show each other the support we need. Reach out to someone you trust if you need to talk. Reach out to someone you know is being bullied or harassed. Reach out and consider a new approach.
Peer-on-peer harassment is any form of physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control exercised between children/young people, and within their relationships (both intimate and non-intimate), friendships, and wider peer associations. Some examples of sexual harassment can include
making sexual comments, remarks, jokes either face-to face or online
lifting up skirts or taking a picture under a person’s clothing without them knowing
making nasty comments about someone’s body, gender, sexuality or looks to cause them humiliation, distress or alarm
image-based abuse, such as sharing a nude/semi-nude photo or video without the consent of the person pictured
sending unwanted sexual, explicit or pornographic photographs/videos to someone
To reach out, please contact the college Welfare Team or any of the agencies listed on the above links.

Wythnos rhyng-ffydd / Interfaith week Presentation
Inter Faith Week is a special time to learn about and celebrate the different religions and beliefs that make up our communities. It’s a chance to explore how faith shapes people’s lives and to understand the shared values that unite us, such as respect, kindness, and helping others. During the week, you’ll have opportunities in your personal tutorial and around the campus to join discussions, events and quizzes that promote dialogue and collaboration between people of different faiths. By taking part, you can broaden your understanding, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to a more inclusive and respectful environment at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.
