Gwenno Rowlands from the Denbigh area, who is studying for her level 3 qualification in engineering at Coleg Glynllifon, won Lantra Cymru's main award in the category: Young College Learner, under 20 years of age.
Last week we held our Green Digital Future event at Busnes@LlandrilloMenai in Parc Menai. It was great to welcome colleagues, partners and local businesses to celebrate our Green Digital Academy project. Taking centre stage were the SMEs who were part of the project. They shared their experiences and how they have been supported to reduce carbon emissions.
A new scheme aims to upskill trades and SMEs in the construction sector, preparing them for a net zero future. By delivering training in low carbon technology the programme offered by Busnes@LlandrilloMenai with the Centre for Infrastructure Skills and Technology (CIST) at Llangefni is also ensuring businesses are sustainable and can adapt as demand grows for greener work practices and installations.
The world’s first preserved railway is also among the first to benefit from a project designed to help businesses reduce carbon emissions.
