"Bryn started his career as a lecturer in the early days of establishing Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor 30 years ago. In due course, he became assistant principal and a conscientious, active, and important member of Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's senior management team.
"His constant contribution and his measured and wise words are qualities that we as a team will miss. We all wish you a very happy retirement Bryn.''
Eifion Owen, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s programme area manager for service industries, is a long-time friend and colleague of Bryn, having known him since their days at Ysgol Glan y Môr in Pwllheli.
Eifion said: “His gentlemanly and friendly managerial and teaching style will be missed by colleagues and physics students alike, after he inspired a generation of scientists in the Llŷn area.
“He has now moved on to pastures new, and is able to concentrate his time on pursuing his expertise in physics which has been his passion during his 30 years at the college.
“We hope he enjoys watching Wales in the World Cup. He will now be able to watch and enjoy the social side of supporting Pwllheli Rugby Club in midweek matches."
