Student Survey Reveals Positive Learner Feedback
Nearly 2,000 learners across Grŵp Llandrillo Menai gave the college group a giant thumbs-up in a recent student survey, with 99% of learners rating both their college, and the quality of teaching and learning, as ‘very good’.
All learners from the group’s three colleges – Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor – were invited to take part and make their voices heard in the ‘Further Education Learner Survey - October 2022’.
99% of learners also said that they ‘feel like they are on the right course’ and that they ‘know who to contact when absent’. 97% agreed that they had: ‘received useful feedback on their progress so far’; ‘that college is inclusive of everyone and allows learners to express themselves as individuals’ and that ‘teaching and learning meets their individual needs’. 96% ‘know their targets for the course and for literacy and numeracy’.
Student feedback included a wide range of extremely positive quotes: 'You don’t get treated like a student, you get treated like an adult'; ‘Studying in college is good because we get the chance to reach our targets and progress in the future’; ‘My personal tutor is very supportive’, and 'Small classes make it easier to focus and the teachers help us a lot'.
