Course Description
Through hands on, practical sessions you will be learning how to design to scale, measure, and mark out timber for constructing a picnic bench. Cutting, sanding and planing skills will be developed, followed by joint making and installing fixings and using adhesives. Finally you will assemble the bench, and learn to select and apply appropriate finishes, and carry out final inspection of the work. You will be working on both numeracy skills during these sessions, and gaining carpentry skills and knowledge.
Entry Criteria
To access this free training, you will need to:
- be 19 years or older;
- live within the counties of Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and Denbighshire.
