Course Description

This 5-week DIY Bricklaying Course is designed for beginners and those looking to develop practical bricklaying skills for home or garden projects. The course covers essential techniques such as planning jobs, ordering materials, mixing mortar, setting out and constructing simple walls, return corners, pillars, and retaining walls. Learners will also enhance their basic numeracy skills by calculating areas, volumes, and material ratios, and writing invoices with accurate pricings and wastages. Through hands-on practice, participants will gain the confidence to complete bricklaying tasks safely and effectively in a home garden environment. All necessary tools and materials are provided, and no prior experience is required.

Entry Criteria

To access this free training, you will need to:

  • be 19 years or older;
  • live within the counties of Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy and Denbighshire.
