Course Description

With this qualification you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to prepare and serve hot and cold drinks in any environment.

There are four learning outcomes to this unit:

  • Be able to demonstrate product knowledge
  • Be able to clean and check equipment
  • Be able to display drink building techniques
  • Be able to serve customers

Entry Criteria

The Award in Barista Skills is for people who work as or want to work as a Barista within any environment, such as restaurants, café's and hotels. You do not need any experience, as you may already be working in the hospitality industry. It is recommend that you have access to an espresso machine and grinder in order to practice making drinks in your own time.

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
