Course Description

This programme is for students who wish to progress to study at Level 2 and aspire to higher education.

You will be studying a range of areas associated with the skills needed to successfully follow a Level 2 programme. Essential Skills Wales Application of Number and Communication at Level 1 is included in the programme.

The main focus of the course is to improve numeracy, literacy and digital literacy skills in preparation to study at level 2.

Entry Criteria

No formal entry requirements, interview and initial assessment will be undertaken to ensure completion of any assessments at level 1.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to attend an interview to give you the opportunity to discuss the course.

Learners must be at least 19 years old.

This may include GCSE Numeracy/Maths and/or Welsh/English Language.

Maths & Welsh/English

If you don't achieve a C or above in Maths and/ or English/Welsh, we will support you to retake these subjects as part of your study programme.

  • Practical tasks and observation

Progression

Upon completion, you could progress onto a number of courses at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, including:

  • Skills For Further Studies Level 2

  • Level 2 vocational qualifications
