Course Description

The course is designed for individual guided learning and could be fitted around those already in employment in a different sector but wanting to change careers.
Entry Criteria
Successful interview and initial assessment.
Delivery
Five core units to be completed which cover elements such as safeguarding and the theories of child development
Delivery for this course is remote although learners can go to any of our sites to meet up with an assessor if needed.
Assessment
To achieve this qualification, learners must undertake the five core units and also complete a multiple choice exam (learners MUST come into one of the college campuses to sit the exam).
Progression
Progress for learners can be done by gaining voluntary or paid employment in a child care setting and undertaking the practical element of the qualification (thus gain the full qualification), progress can also be made to a level 3 child care qualification.
