Matt Tebbutt o'r BBC yn rhannu ei brofiadau gyda Diwydiant Twristiaeth Llandudno
Bydd Matt Tebbutt, cogydd llwyddiannus yn ogystal ag awdur a chyflwynydd Saturday Kitchen ar y BBC yn dod i Landudno mis nesaf i siarad mewn digwyddiad arbennig iawn ar gyfer gweithwyr proffesiynol sy'n gweithio yn y diwydiant twristiaeth yn Llandudno a'r cyffiniau.
The event is organised by Busnes@LlandrilloMenai as part of the UKCRF funded ‘Llandudno Tourism Innovation Hub’ project.
Matt will reflect on what first attracted him to the industry, key memories and milestones as his career developed. Drawing upon his own experience and thoughts as a business proprietor and employer, he will then go on to discuss one of the biggest challenges facing the industry globally, attracting and developing a skilled and motivated workforce of hospitality professionals for the future.
Matt’s CV is impressive, he’s the current host of Saturday Kitchen, presenter of Best Bites on BBC1 and Food Unwrapped on Channel 4, Matt gained a diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London before working for some of London’s most prestigious restaurants including work for Marco Pierre White at The Oak Room and Criterion. He also owned and ran The Foxhunter Inn near Usk in South Wales winning a number of awards including AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales.
Dave Chapman of UK Hospitality – Executive Director for Wales, and Jane Richardson - Strategic Director for Economy & Place at Conwy County Borough Council will be joining Matt at the event to give an all-wales and local context before a facilitated discussion between a panel of local industry leaders and the audience to discuss how to address the recruitment and retention challenge in the locality.

Busnes@LlandrilloMenai sydd wedi trefnu'r digwyddiad fel rhan o brosiect 'Hwb Arloesi Llandudno ar gyfer Twristiaeth' a ariannwyd gan Gronfa Adfywio Cymunedol Llywodraeth Prydain.
Bydd Matt yn myfyrio ar yr hyn a'i denodd at y diwydiant yn ogystal â'r atgofion a'r cerrig milltir pwysig wrth i'w yrfa ddatblygu. Bydd yn defnyddio ei brofiad a'i farn bersonol fel dyn busnes a chyflogwr i drafod un o'r prif heriau sy'n wynebu'r diwydiant lletygarwch ledled y byd, sef denu a datblygu gweithwyr proffesiynol medrus a brwdfrydig ar gyfer y dyfodol.
Mae CV Matt yn drawiadol iawn. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n cyflwyno Saturday Kitchen, Best Bites ar BBC1 a Food Unwrapped ar Sianel 4. Enillodd Matt ddiploma yn Leiths School of Food and Wine yn Llundain cyn mynd ymlaen i weithio yn rhai o fwytai mwyaf mawreddog Llundain yn cynnwys gweithio i Marco Pierre White yn The Oak Room a Criterion. Roedd hefyd yn rhedeg ac yn berchen ar The Foxhunter Inn ger Brynbuga yn ne Cymru lle enillodd nifer o wobrau, yn cynnwys gwobr yr AA i Fwyty Gorau Cymru.
Bydd Dave Chapman o UK Hospitality – Cyfarwyddwr Gweithredol Cymru, a Jane Richardson - Cyfarwyddwr Strategol Economi a Lle Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy yn ymuno â Matt yn y digwyddiad i gynnig ychydig o gyd-destun ar lefel leol a Chymru gyfan. Yna cynhelir trafodaeth rhwng panel o arweinwyr lleol a'r gynulleidfa pan fydd cyfle i drafod sut i fynd i'r afael â'r her o recriwtio a chadw staff yn yr ardal leol.
