Health & Social Care

The opportunities to work in health and social care have never been higher. The NHS and Social Care services are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting others.

If you’re a compassionate person, who is keen to provide high-quality support & care to meet the needs of others, then a course in health & social care could be the start of an extremely rewarding career.

Our courses are delivered in realistic learning environments, and our expert staff have a wide range of industry experience - having held roles such as Registered Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Care Home Managers.

You’ll learn the skills and knowledge fundamental to employment in the sector. Depending on the level of your course, you will undertake work placement and sector engagement activities, such as working with some of our sector partners and employers. We have substantial links with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Local Authorities, Domiciliary Care providers and Third Sector organisations.

Every year our students progress into a range of courses at university, including Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Occupational Health, Occupational Therapy, Criminology and many more. Students can also progress onto one of the degree courses offered here at college. We also support learners to progress to the world of work either through direct employment or further training on one of our apprenticeship routes.

Which level and course is right for me?

We offer the largest number of further and higher education courses in North Wales: from Level 0 (entry) up to Degrees. We also offer Apprenticeships.

Here is a simple guide that explains the levels, courses and progression routes available to you.
