Cyhoeddi mai colegau'r Grŵp yw'r rhai cyntaf yng Nghymru i fod yn rhan o'r cynllun 'Digital Schoolhouse'
Cynllun gan y diwydiant i gefnogi ysgolion yw Digital Schoolhouse ac fe'i noddir gan gwmnïau cyfrifiadura byd-eang fel PlayStation®, Electronic Arts, SEGA, Ubisoft ac Outright Games.
Ei fwriad pennaf yw annog pobl ifanc i ymuno â'r maes cyfrifiadureg, a bydd staff Grŵp Llandrillo Menai'n anelu at wneud hyn drwy addysgu disgyblion ysgol mewn ffordd hwyliog a diddorol gan ddefnyddio offer o'r radd flaenaf - un ai yn eu hystafelloedd dosbarth neu ar gampws y coleg. Mae'r gweithdai cyfrifiadura dyfeisgar hyn wedi'u hanelu at ysgolion ym mhob cwr o'r Deyrnas Unedig.
Mae Digital Schoolhouse, ar y cyd â Nintendo, yn defnyddio dull unigryw sy'n gyfuniad o ddysgu drwy chwarae a gweithgareddau arloesol er mwyn ennyn diddordeb y genhedlaeth nesaf o ddisgyblion ac athrawon yn y cwricwlwm cyfrifiadura. Mae ymchwil seiliedig ar dystiolaeth yn greiddiol i'r rhaglen ac, ar y cyd ag addysg yrfaol sy'n torri tir newydd, mae'n llwyddo i bontio'r bwlch rhwng addysg a diwydiant.
Dywedodd tiwtor Datblygu Gemau Coleg Llandrillo, Rob Griffiths, sydd wedi ennill gwobr BAFTA: "Mae gennym ni'r holl offer arbenigol sydd eu hangen i helpu plant i ddysgu. Gallwn hyfforddi plant cynradd ac uwchradd, un ai yn eu hysgolion eu hunain neu yma yn y coleg. Gallwn gyfrannu at eu datblygiad yn y cwricwlwm o fewn ychydig fisoedd yn unig. Bydd y cynllun hefyd yn cryfhau'r cysylltiadau da sydd gan y coleg eisoes gyda diwydiant."
Darperir y cynllun Digital Schoolhouse gan UKie, corff masnach diwydiant gemau'r DU, ac fe'i cefnogir gan y diwydiant gemau fideo a'r llywodraeth.

Digital Schoolhouse is an industry initiative to support schools and is sponsored by global computing companies including PlayStation®, Electronic Arts, SEGA, Ubisoft and Outright Games.
Its primary aim is to encourage young people into computer science, and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai staff will aim to do this by teaching school children in a fun, engaging and informative way using state-of-the-art equipment – either in the pupils’ own classrooms or on a college campus. The ingenious computing workshops are aimed at schools across the length and breadth of the UK.
Digital Schoolhouse together with Nintendo UK, uses a unique approach to play-based learning through innovative activities, to engage the next generation of pupils and teachers with the computing curriculum. Underpinned by evidence-based research, and combined with groundbreaking careers education, the programme successfully bridges the gap between education and industry.
BAFTA-winning Coleg Llandrillo Games Development tutor Rob Griffiths said: “We have all the specialist kit to aid children with their learning. We can deliver the training to primary or secondary school children in their own schools or here at college on a flexible basis. We can contribute to their curriculum development in a matter of only a few months. The initiative will also help to cement the college’s already impressive links with industry.”
