Grŵp y Coleg yn Codi £273 at Shelter Cymru
Dros yr wythnos ddiwethaf mae Grŵp Llandrillo Menai wedi codi'r swm sylweddol o £273 ar gyfer ei helusen bartner y flwyddyn, Shelter Cymru.
Roedd y gweithgareddau codi arian yn cynnwys ‘Dyfalwch enw’r tedi’, a gwerthwyd cacennau bach, a wnaed ac a roddwyd yn garedig gan fwyty hyfforddi ‘The Bistro’ ar gampws Llandrillo-yn-Rhos Coleg Llandrillo, ar draws campysau’r Grŵp.
Mae Shelter Cymru yn cynnig gwybodaeth, cyngor a chefnogaeth i gynorthwyo pobl i nodi pa ddewisiadau y dylent eu gwneud er mwyn osgoi bod yn ddigartref, i ganfod a chadw gafael ar gartref, ac i reoli eu bywydau eu hunain.
Cynhaliwyd rafflau ar gyfer hamperi wedi’u llenwi â chynnyrch, a thalebau a roddwyd gan fusnesau lleol, gan gynnwys bwytai Dylan’s, tafarn Pen Y Bryn, Venue Cymru, bwyty’r Oyster Catcher, a Pharc Fferm Foel hefyd. Roedd yr hamperau hefyd yn cynnwys talebau anrheg ar gyfer adrannau o fewn y colegau, megis y salonau trin gwallt a'r bwytai hyfforddi.
Meddai Aaron Beacher, Swyddog Cyfoethogi Profiad Grŵp Llandrillo Menai,
“Rydym yn falch o fod yn cefnogi Shelter Cymru eleni – elusen sy’n rhoi cymorth amhrisiadwy i bobl sydd mewn perygl o ddod yn ddigartref”.
“Byddwn yn parhau i godi arian at yr elusen trwy gydol y flwyddyn, a byddwn yn cynnal y Digwyddiad Elusennol nesaf yn fuan iawn. Diolch yn fawr iawn i’r holl staff a myfyrwyr sydd wedi cefnogi’r achos teilwng hwn”.

Fundraising activities included ‘Guess the name of the teddy bear’, and cupcakes kindly made and donated by ‘The Bistro’ training restaurant at Coleg Llandrillo’s Rhos-on-Sea campus were sold across Grŵp campuses.
Shelter Cymru provides information, advice and support to help people identify the best options to prevent homelessness, to find and keep a home and to help them take control of their own lives.
Raffles were also held for hampers filled with produce and vouchers donated from local businesses, including Dylan’s Restaurants, Pen Y Bryn pub, Venue Cymru, the Oyster Catcher restaurant, and Foel Farm Park. The hampers also included gift vouchers for departments within the colleges, such as the training hair salons and training restaurants.
Aaron Beacher, Student Experience Enrichment Officer at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, said,
“We are proud to be supporting Shelter Cymru this year - a charity which provides invaluable support to people who are at risk of becoming homeless”.
“We will continue raising money for the charity throughout the year, and we will be holding the next Charity Event very soon. A big thank you to all of the staff and students who have supported this worthy cause”.
