Llysgenhadon Actif y Coleg yn bachu £1000 gan Gynllun Grant Cymunedol Tesco
Mae Llysgenhadon Actif Grŵp Llandrillo Menai wrth eu bodd yn cyhoeddi eu bod wedi derbyn £1,000 gan Grantiau Cymunedol Tesco.
Cynigir Grantiau Cymunedol Tesco - a oedd yn cael ei alw'r cynllun 'Bags of Help' yn flaenorol - mewn partneriaeth â'r elusen amgylcheddol sy'n canolbwyntio ar y gymuned, Groundwork. Mae'n dyfarnu grantiau i filoedd o brosiectau cymunedol lleol bob blwyddyn. Mae'r fenter wedi rhoi dros £90 miliwn i fwy na 40,000 o brosiectau ledled Prydain eisoes.
Lluniwyd Rhaglen Llysgenhadon Actif Grŵp Llandrillo Menai i feithrin arweinwyr y dyfodol ar draws ei 12 campws, gan hyrwyddo pwysigrwydd iechyd a lles.
Nid oes angen i'r dysgwyr sy'n ymuno â'r rhaglen fod yn athletwyr o'r radd flaenaf. Yn hytrach, anelir y rhaglen at ddysgwyr brwdfrydig yng Ngrŵp Llandrillo Menai sy'n awyddus i wneud gwahaniaeth yn eu coleg a'u cymunedau lleol. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai ydy'r corff ymbarél sydd yn gyfrifol am oruchwylio gwaith y tri choleg sy'n aelodau'r grŵp yng Ngogledd Cymru: Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor a Choleg Menai.
Fel rhan o'r rhaglen bydd y dysgwr yn llais yr ifanc ar gyfer gweithgaredd corfforol yn eu coleg a'u cymuned ac yn hybu gwerthoedd cadarnhaol gweithgaredd, lles a ffordd o fyw iach.
Mae'r arian a dderbyniwyd gan Grantiau Cymunedol Tesco wedi galluogi'r Llysgenhadon Actif i gefnogi llawer o ddysgwyr i barhau i ddysgu a pharhau i gadw mewn cysylltiad a chynnal agwedd gadarnhaol trwy gyfrwng gwahanol weithgareddau ar-lein yn ystod y cyfnod clo.
Dywedodd Kristina Aguilar, Llysgennad Actif Platinwm: 'Mae derbyn y cyllid hwn wedi caniatáu i ni gadw mewn cysylltiad yn ystod cyfnod anodd, a cheisio lledaenu hapusrwydd a charedigrwydd trwy gynnig cyfleoedd i ennill 'Bocs Hapus' a hyfforddiant a digwyddiadau ar-lein."
Dywedodd Claire de Silva, Pennaeth Cymunedol Tesco: "Mae Grantiau Cymunedol Tesco yn cefnogi achosion da lleol, yn enwedig y prosiectau hynny sy'n cefnogi pobl ifanc neu'n darparu bwyd ac achosion da lleol sy'n agos at galonau ein cydweithwyr."
Ychwanegodd Prif Weithredwr Groundwork, Graham Duxbury: "Mae Grantiau Cymunedol Tesco'n parhau i roi'r hwb sydd ei angen ar brosiectau lleol i helpu eu cymunedau i ffynnu. Rydym ni'n falch o fod wedi medru cynorthwyo cymaint o achosion da lleol dros y blynyddoedd ac yn edrych ymlaen at weld beth all grwpiau cymunedol eu cyflawni yn y dyfodol gyda'r adnoddau cywir."
Tesco Community Grants – previously Tesco Bags of Help - is run in partnership with community-focused, environmental charity Groundwork, and awards grants to thousands of local community projects every year. The initiative has already provided over £90 million to more than 40,000 projects across Britain.
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Active Ambassador Programme is designed to develop leaders of the future across its 12 campuses, promoting the importance of health and well-being.
Learners enrolling on the programme will not need to be elite athletes, the programme is aimed at enthusiastic and motivated Grŵp Llandrillo Menai learners who want to make a difference in their college and local community. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is an umbrella organisation overseeing the operation of its three member colleges in North Wales: Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor and Coleg Menai.
As part of the programme the learner will be the youth voice for physical activity within their college and community and promote the positive values of activity, well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
The money received from Tesco Community Grants has enabled the Active Ambassadors to support many learners during lockdown to keep learning and to stay positive and engaged through different online activities.
Platinum Active Ambassador Kristina Aguilar said: “Receiving this funding has allowed us to stay connected during what has been a difficult time, whilst being able to share happiness and kindness with ‘Happy Boxes’ giveaways and online training and events.”
