Cannoedd o Fyfyrwyr yn Graddio!
Ar ddydd Gwener (Gorffennaf 8) mewn seremoni yn dynodi diwedd y flwyddyn academaidd, dathlwyd llwyddiannau dros 200 o fyfyrwyr Gradd Anrhydedd, Gradd Sylfaen, HND, ac Ôl-radd o dri choleg Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.
Yno hefyd i gymryd rhan roedd cynrychiolwyr o brifysgolion cyswllt a phartneriaid y Coleg yng Nghymru a Lloegr, yn y Seremoni Raddio a gynhaliwyd yn Venue Cymru, Llandudno, yn llygad cynnes yr haul, o flaen llond theatr o tua mil o fyfyrwyr, eu teuluoedd a’u ffrindiau.
Heddiw, mae gan y Grŵp tua 1,000 o fyfyrwyr Addysg Uwch yn astudio ar 50 o lwybrau gradd gwahanol, gyda dros 300 o fyfyrwyr yn graddio pob blwyddyn, nifer gydag anrhydedd dosbarth cyntaf. Mae Grŵp Llandrillo Menai'n cynnwys Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai a Choleg Meirion-Dwyfor.
Ymysg y graddedigion oedd wrth eu bodd oedd Nikki Cotton o Landrillo-yn-Rhos, a raddiodd gyda MA yn y Celfyddydau Cain.
Cynhwyswyd ei gwaith celf hefyd yn yr arddangosfa gelf ar-safle gyntaf a gynhaliwyd gan Grwp Llandrillo Menai ers i bandemig COVID-19 ddechrau. Meddai: "Mae'n ffordd ardderchog o astudio a phellhau eich gyrfa gan fedru parhau i fwynhau bywyd cartref."
Cwblhaodd y cwpl Emma Hickman a Shaun Orr o Minffordd ger Penrhyndeudraeth ill dau gyrsiau Addysg Uwch yr un pryd ar gampws Dolgellau Coleg Meirion Dwyfor. Graddiodd Sean gyda HNC mewn Peirianneg, a graddiodd Emma gyda Gradd Sylfaen mewn Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol Dyma ddywedon nhw:
"Roeddem wrth ein bodd i fedru astudio yn yr un coleg. Roedd yr hyblygrwydd a roddwyd i ni fel teulu ifanc yn wych. Byddem yn argymell yn fawr dod yma i astudio!"
Dywedodd Dafydd Evans, Prif Weithredwr Grŵp Llandrillo Menai: "Mae'n bleser gennyf groesawu gwahoddedigion, enillwyr graddau a diplomâu i Seremoni Raddio 2020. Mae'r seremoni yma'n dathlu ffrwyth gwaith blynyddoedd o astudio, ymrwymiad ac ymdrech gan ein myfyrwyr a'n staff addysgu. Mae'r seremoni yn cydnabod yn ffurfiol ddyfarnu graddau a diplomâu i'n myfyrwyr Addysg Uwch.
I gefnogi elusen dethol y flwyddyn yr Undebau Llafur, Macmillan Cancer Support, gwerthwyd 50 tedi coffaol i raddedigion, gyda'r holl elw yn mynd i'r elusen.
Mae Grwp Llandrillo Menai yn parhau i ehangu ei bortffolio o gyrsiau Addysg Uwch, yn annibynnol ac mewn partneriaeth gyda sefydliadau Addysg Uwch gan gynnwys Prifysgol Canol Swydd Gaerhirfyn, Prifysgol Glyndwr ac Edexcel. Yn ogystal â'r rhaglenni gradd anrhydedd a'r diplomau cenedlaethol uwch traddodiadol, mae'r coleg wedi bod yn flaenllaw wrth ddatblygu a hyrwyddo Graddau Sylfaen a chyrsiau galwedigaethol arloesol ac unigryw.
Mae'r Ganolfan Brifysgol gwerth £4.5 miliwn ar gampws y coleg yn Llandrillo-yn-Rhos, a adeiladwyd mewn partneriaeth â Phrifysgol Bangor ac sy'n ganolfan ar gyfer bron i 1,00 o ddysgwyr, yn darparu cyfleusterau addysgu a dysgu wedi eu teilwra i fyfyrwyr Addysg Uwch mewn un canolfan bwrpasol, yn hytrach nag mewn lleoliadau gwahanol ar draws y campysau.
Mae Grŵp Llandrillo Menai'n un o grwpiau colegau Addysg Bellach mwyaf y Deyrnas Unedig. Mae nawr yn cyflogi dros 2,000 o staff ac yn ychwanegol i'w gyfleusterau busnes ac ymchwil, mae'r Grŵp yn cyflwyno cyrsiau i tua 27,000 o fyfyrwyr ar draws pedair sir mewn campysau o'r Rhyl i Ddolgellau.

Representatives from the colleges’ associate and partner universities in both England and Wales officiated at the Graduation Ceremony, at a sun-baked Venue Cymru in Llandudno, in front of a full house of around a thousand students, families and friends.
Today, the Grŵp has around 1,000 Higher Education students studying on 50 different degree courses, with over 300 students graduating each year, many with first-class honours. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai comprises of Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor.
Amongst the many delighted graduates was Niki Cotton from Rhos-on-Sea, who graduated with a MA in Fine Arts. Her art work was also included in the first onsite art exhibition held by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
She said: “It's a great way to study and further your career whilst being able to stay at home loving life.”
Couple Emma Hickman and Shaun Orr from Minffordd near Penrhyndeudraeth both completed Higher Education courses at the same time at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s campus in Dolgellau. Sean graduated with a HNC in Engineering, and Emma graduated with a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care. They said,
“We loved being able to study at the same college. The flexibility given to us as a young family was fantastic. We would highly recommend coming here to study!”
Dafydd Evans, CEO of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, said: “I am very pleased to welcome guests, graduates and diplomates to this 2022 Graduation Ceremony, which represents the completion of many years of intense study, commitment and effort by our students and teaching staff. The ceremony formally recognises the award of degrees and diplomas to our Higher Education students.
In support of the Student Unions’ chosen charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support, over 50 commemorative teddies were sold to graduates, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai continues to expand its portfolio of Higher Education courses, both independently and in partnership with Higher Education institutions including the University of Central Lancashire, Glyndŵr University and Edexcel. As well as the more traditional honours degree programmes and higher nationals, the college has been at the forefront in developing and promoting innovative and unique Foundation Degrees and vocational courses.
The £4.5million University Centre Coleg Llandrillo (UCCL) at the college’s Rhos-on-Sea campus, which was built in partnership with Bangor University and is the base for nearly 1,000 learners, provides Higher Education students with bespoke teaching and learning facilities in one dedicated centre, rather than in different locations across the campus.
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is one of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK. It now employs around 2,000 staff and, in addition to its business and research facilities, the Grŵp delivers courses to around 27,000 students across four counties at campuses from Rhyl to Dolgellau.
