ARDDANGOSFA GYNTAF PARC MENAI ERS DECHRAU'R PANDEMIG

Aeth myfyrwyr celf Coleg Menai ati i arddangos eu gwaith yn ddiweddar, yn yr arddangosfa gyhoeddus gyntaf ers mis Mehefin 2019.

Cafodd myfyrwyr cwrs gradd MA mewn Celfyddyd Gain gyfle i arddangos eu darnau - a oedd yn cynnwys paentiadau, printiau, cerfluniau, fideos, perfformiadau a gosodiadau - mewn arddangosfa a oedd yn agored i deulu a ffrindiau ddydd Gwener (17 Medi) ym Mharc Menai.

Roedd yr arddangosfa, 'Triptych' yn cynnwys gwaith tri o fyfyrwyr: Kate Parker, Simone Williams a Niki Cotton. Aeth pob artist ati i weithio ar eu gweledigaeth bersonol eu hunain, ac roedd y themâu a archwiliwyd yn cynnwys, y cartref, bod yn fam a'r amgylchedd.

Hon yw'r arddangosfa gyntaf i'r adran Gelf ei chynnal yn gyhoeddus ers dros ddwy flynedd oherwydd pandemig COVID-19.

Dywedodd Emrys Williams, Arweinydd Rhaglen MA mewn Celfyddyd Gain,

"Dw i'n hynod o gyffrous i weld y sioe hon o'r diwedd! Dangosodd y myfyrwyr eu bod yn gallu addasu gan weithio mewn ffyrdd newydd oherwydd y pandemig".

Llwyddodd y myfyrwyr i ddal gafael ar eu dawn greadigol ac mae'r ffaith eu bod wedi gallu creu arddangosfa uchelgeisiol heb yr angen i gyfaddawdu yn glod mawr iddyn nhw".

Mae modd gweld yr arddangosfa yn rhithwir hefyd a gallwch ddysgu mwy am y myfyrwyr a'r ysbrydoliaeth tu ôl i'w darnau. Cliciwch yma.

The MA Fine Art students showcased their pieces - including paintings, print, sculptures, videos, performances and installation - at an exhibition open to friends and family on Friday (September 17th), at Parc Menai.

The exhibition, titled ‘Triptych’, consists of the work of three students: Kate Parker, Simone Williams and Niki Cotton. Each artist worked toward their own personal vision, where themes explored included ideas of home, motherhood and the environment.

The exhibition is the first exhibition the Art department has been able to physically hold in over two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emrys Williams, Programme Leader of MA Fine Art, said,

“It’s so exciting to finally see this show! The students demonstrated great adaptability working in new ways because of the pandemic”

“They kept their creativity alive and it is a great credit to them that they have put together an ambitious exhibition without any compromise”.

The exhibition is also available virtually, where you can find out more about the students and their inspiration behind their pieces. Please click here.
