Tiffany yn curo Cystadleuaeth Sgiliau Adeiladu Ranbarthol

Daeth Tiffany Baker, sy’n astudio Plymwaith yng Ngholeg Meirion-Dwyfor, i’r brig yn rowndiau rhanbarthol Cystadleuaeth Genedlaethol Sgiliau Merched HIP yn gynharach y mis hwn, a gynhaliwyd yng Ngholeg Efrog.

Bydd hi nawr yn mynd ymlaen i gystadlu yn erbyn pump arall a gyrhaeddodd y rownd derfynol yn Rowndiau Terfynol Cenedlaethol Sgiliau Merched HIP 2023 yr wythnos nesaf, fydd yn cael eu cynnal yn Llundain.

Dywedodd Tiffany,

“Rwy’n gyffrous iawn am gyrraedd y rowndiau terfynol cenedlaethol, rwyf wedi gweithio’n galed ac yn ddiolchgar am y gefnogaeth a’r arweiniad a gefais gan fy narlithwyr”

“Mae angen mwy o fenywod yn y diwydiant adeiladu, a gobeithio bod fy stori yn annog merched i ystyried gyrfa yn y diwydiant, ac i wneud cais am gwrs cysylltiedig yn y coleg!”

Dywedodd Marius Jones, Rheolwr Maes Rhaglen ar gyfer Adeiladu a Pheirianneg yng Ngholeg Meirion-Dwyfor,

“Mae’n galonogol gweld y bydd un o’n dysgwyr benywaidd yn cystadlu ar lwyfan cenedlaethol, a dwi’n obeithiol y bydd gweld llwyddiant Tiffany yn denu mwy o ferched i astudio Adeiladu, ac i fynd ymlaen i ddiwydiant sy’n galw am fwy o fenywod."

"Rydym fel adran yn falch iawn o lwyddiant ysgubol Tiffany. Mae cyrraedd y rownd derfynol mewn cystadleuaeth fel hon yn hynod o anodd, mae'r safon yn uchel iawn. Da iawn Tiffany, a phob lwc yn y rownd derfynol."

Marius Jones, Programme Area Manager for Construction and Engineering at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, said,

"It is encouraging to see that one of our female learners will be competing on a national stage, and I’m hopeful that seeing Tiffany’s success will attract more women to study Construction, and to go on to an industry that calls out for more female workers"
