MYFYRWYR PEIRIANNEG YN CYRRAEDD ROWND DERFYNOL WORLDSKILLS

Mae dau fyfyriwr o Adran Beirianneg Coleg Menai ar gampws Llangefni wedi cyrraedd rownd derfynol cystadleuaeth genedlaethol Worldskills eleni.

Bydd y myfyrwyr, Cai Jones ac Aidan Skinner yn cystadlu yn erbyn wyth cystadleuydd arall o bob cwr o'r DU.

Bydd Aidan, sy'n dilyn cwrs Lefel 3 mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol yn cystadlu yn y gystadleuaeth CAD Mecanyddol. Bydd Cai, sy'n dilyn y cwrs Lefel 3 mewn Peirianneg Electronig/Drydanol yn cystadlu yng nghategori Diwydiannau Electronig.

Cynhelir cystadleuaeth CAD Mecanyddol fis Tachwedd, yn New College, Lanarkshire yn Yr Alban. Bydd Aidan yn gweithio ar gyfres o dasgau a lluniadau mecanyddol yn ymwneud â modelu 3D.

Hefyd yn ystod mis Tachwedd bydd Cai yn teithio i Goleg Gwyr yn Abertawe i gystadlu yn y Categori Diwydiannau Electronig ac yn cael ei feirniadu am ei waith ar nifer o weithgareddau electronig gan gynnwys; Gwaith Sodro, Canfod Diffygion, Theori Electronig Sylfaenol a dylunio Nwyddau Metel

Dywedodd Damian Woodford, Rheolwr Maes Rhaglen ym maes Peirianneg,

"Mae Cai ac Aidan wedi dangos diddordeb gwirioneddol yn eu pwnc ers y dechrau. Maen nhw wedi gweithio'n galed yn y coleg i ddatblygu a gwella eu sgiliau."

"Rydym yn falch iawn o Aidan a Cai ac yn dymuno'n dda iddynt yn y Rownd Derfynol!"
