ADRAN CERBYDAU MODUR YN CYFLWYNO CWRS NEWYDD AR DRYDAN HYBRID
Aeth Adran Cerbydau Modur Coleg Menai yn Llangefni ati i gyflwyno ei gwrs cyntaf ar gynnal a chadw cerbydau trydan hybrid yn ddiweddar.
Treuliodd dysgwyr o garejys lleol dri diwrnod yn y coleg yn cwblhau Dyfarniad Lefel 2 a Lefel 3 City and Guilds mewn Gwaith Trwsio ac Amnewid Mewn Cerbydau Trydan Hybrid.
Mae'r cwrs newydd cyffrous hwn yn dysgu dysgwyr sut i weithio'n ddiogel ar systemau cerbydau modur foltedd uchel ac yn cynnwys asesiadau ar ynysu batris foltedd uchel a thynnu darnau foltedd uchel.
Mae'r Adran Cerbydau Modur wedi buddsoddi tua £62,000 yn ddiweddar yn prynu cerbydau ac offer trydan hybrid gwahanol, yn cynnwys ceir trydan megis Volkswagen E-Golf, Toyota Yaris, a Toyota Hybrid.
Dywedodd Damian Woodford, Rheolwr Maes Rhaglen ym maes Peirianneg,
"Mae hwn yn ddatblygiad cyffrous yn yr adran wrth i ni geisio cyflwyno'r hyfforddiant diweddaraf sy'n angenrheidiol yn y diwydiant"
Ar ddechrau'r cwrs roedd y dysgwyr yn bryderus am weithio gyda cheir hybrid a thrydan. Erbyn iddyn nhw orffen y cwrs roedd yn braf gweld eu bod yn hyderus i weithio ar gerbydau trydan a hybrid yn ddiogel ac yn effeithiol".
Learners from local garages spent three days in the college completing the City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Award in Hybrid Electric Repair and Replacement.
The exciting new course teaches learners how to work safely on High Voltage Automotive systems and includes assessments on isolating the High Voltage batteries and removing high voltage components.
The Automotive Department has recently invested approximately £62,000 in purchasing various hybrid electric vehicles and equipment, including a fully electric Volkswagen E-Golf, Toyota Yaris, and a Toyota Hybrid Electric rig.

“This is an exciting development within the department as we aim to deliver the latest training required by the industry”
“Upon starting the course, the learners were apprehensive of working with Hybrid and Electric cars. It was great to see that after finishing the course, they were confident in being able to work on Electric and Hybrid vehicles safely and effectively”.
