Digwyddiad Cymunedol ar Gampws Llangefni yn denu cannoedd o ymwelwyr!

Roedd staff campws Coleg Llandrillo yn Llangefni wrth eu boddau ar ôl croesawu cannoedd o ymwelwyr i'w ddigwyddiad cymunedol hwyliog yn ddiweddar.

Roedd y Digwyddiad Ymgysylltu â'r Gymuned yn ddiwrnod gwych i'r teulu cyfan, gyda llu o weithdai a gweithgareddau dysgu cyffrous ym maes uwch dechnoleg yn cael eu cynnal. Yn sicr, roedd yna rywbeth at ddant pawb... o weithdai dronau i dryciau enfawr yn ogystal â gweithdai llysnafedd! Wrth gyrraedd, roedd pawb yn cael bag o roddion ac enillodd un person lwcus bâr o earbuds Beats Studio!

Llwyddodd y digwyddiad hwyliog i ddod â phobl Llangefni a'r cyffiniau at ei gilydd, gan roi cyfle iddynt ddod i wybod rhagor am gampws Coleg Llandrillo yn Llangefni. Cafodd yr ymwelwyr y cyfle i ymweld â llu o gyfleusterau newydd - diolch i fuddsoddi gwerth miliynau o bunnoedd yn ddiweddar - a chael rhagolwg cynnar ar gynlluniau cyffrous ar gyfer y dyfodol.

Cawsant gyfle hefyd i sgwrsio â staff a chymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau STEM (Gwyddoniaeth, Technoleg, Peirianneg a Mathemateg) amrywiol, gan gynnwys codio, roboteg a pheirianneg.

Yn ogystal â'r diwrnod cymunedol, cynhaliwyd digwyddiad gyrfaoedd a roddodd gyfle i'r ymwelwyr gael cyngor gyrfaol a siarad â chynrychiolwyr o sefydliadau amrywiol fel y Gwasanaeth Tân a'r Fyddin ynghyd â llawer o gwmnïau lleol.

Roedd y digwyddiad yn rhad ac am ddim, yn agored i bawb, ac wedi'i anelu at: ddisgyblion ysgol o ardal Llangefni sy'n ystyried eu dewisiadau ar gyfer mis Medi; rhieni a oedd am ymweld â'r campws i weld y cyfleusterau a siarad â'r staff; trigolion lleol a oedd â diddordeb mewn gweld beth sydd gan y coleg a gwasanaethau lleol i'w gynnig; pobl a oedd â diddordeb mewn cael gwaith neu ddechrau gyrfa newydd, ac yn olaf...teuluoedd a oedd eisiau dim mwy na diwrnod i'r brenin!

Ar y diwrnod, rhoddodd yr ymwelwyr gynnig ar lu o weithgareddau cyffrous a chawsant eu temtio gan bob math o wahanol fwydydd blasus.

Ymhlith yr uchafbwyntiau, roedd: Cestyll Bownsio; Swigod Dr Zigs; F1 mewn Ysgolion; Gweithdy Dronau; Hufen Iâ; Chwaraeon gyda Môn Actif; Adeiladu Bocsys i Adar; Gweithgareddau Realiti Rhithwir a'r Gwasanaethau Brys - yr Heddlu a'r Gwasanaeth Tân!

The Community Engagement Event was a fantastic day out for all the family, with a host of exciting, high-tech learning experiences and workshops taking place to suit all tastes… from drone workshops to XPLORE slime and monster trucks! Everyone was given a free goody bag on entry, and one lucky person won a pair of Beats Studio earbuds!

The fun-filled event successfully brought together the people of Llangefni and the surrounding area, giving them the opportunity to find out more about Coleg Menai’s Llangefni campus. Visitors got the opportunity to visit a host of new facilities - the result of recent multimillion pound investments - and get a sneak preview of exciting plans for the future.

They also got the chance to speak to staff and take part in a range of STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) activities including coding, robotics and engineering.

As well as the community initiative, there was also a careers event, which provided visitors with the opportunity to speak to, and get careers advice from, representatives from a wide range of organisations including the Fire Service and the Army, and many local companies.

The event was free, open to everyone, and aimed at: school pupils in the Llangefni area looking at their options for September; parents who wanted to visit the campus to view the facilities and speak to staff; local residents who were interested in what the college and local services have to offer; people who were interested in getting a job or starting a new career, and finally…families who just wanted a fun day out!

On the day, visitors tried out a whole host of exciting activities, whilst tantalising their taste buds with a wide range of delicious food options.

Highlights included: Bouncy Castles; Dr Zigs Bubbles; F1 in Schools; Drone Workshop; Ice Cream; Sports with Mon Actif; Building a Bird Box; Virtual Reality Activities and the Emergency Services - Fire and Police!
