Grŵp Cyntaf o Weithwyr Cymorth Gofal Iechyd yn Graddio fel Nyrsys
Yn dilyn partneriaeth arloesol rhwng Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, Prifysgol Bangor a Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr (BCUHB), mae'r grŵp cyntaf o Weithwyr Cymorth Gofal Iechyd wedi cwblhau rhaglen Baglor mewn Nyrsio (BN) ac wedi cymhwyso fel nyrsys cofrestredig!
Cwblhaodd y grŵp gymhwyster Lefel 4 gofynnol yn y Sefydliad Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol ar gampws y coleg yn Llandrillo-yn-Rhos, cyn mynd ymlaen ar secondiad i ddilyn y rhaglen BN rhan amser ym Mhrifysgol Bangor gyda chymorth eu cyflogwyr: Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr a gwasanaethau gofal sylfaenol y GIG.
Mae'r rhaglen arbennig hon yn cydnabod gwaith y gweithlu gofal iechyd talentog yng Ngogledd Cymru ac yn cynnig llwybr datblygu gyrfa i unigolion sy'n weithwyr cymorth gofal iechyd gyda'r GIG.
Meddai Paul Flanagan, Rheolwr y Maes Rhaglen Iechyd a Gofal yng Ngholeg Llandrillo: "Rydym wrth ein boddau i gydnabod llwyddiant a chyflawniadau ein myfyrwyr. Ac o ystyried effaith Covid ar eu cyfnod astudio, mae llwyddiant y gweithwyr iechyd rheng flaen gyda'r GIG yn gwbl ryfeddol.
"Llongyfarchiadau mawr i bawb a diolch i bob aelod o staff BCUHB a Phrifysgol Bangor am gefnogi'r myfyrwyr gyda'u hastudiaethau. Rydym yn falch iawn o'r modd mae'r bartneriaeth strategol hon yn datblygu gweithlu ac yn gwella ansawdd ar gyfer ein bwrdd iechyd lleol."
Mae'r cyfle arloesol hwn i weithwyr cymorth iechyd gofal yng Ngogledd Cymru yn brawf o'r bartneriaeth gadarn, strategol a chlos rhwng y tri chorff. Bydd y fenter hon o fudd i'r gymuned leol ac yn cynnig llwybr gyrfa ychwanegol i unigolion sydd eisiau ymuno â'r byd nyrsio, ac mae hynny yn ei dro yn cefnogi darpariaeth gofal iechyd yng Ngogledd Cymru.

Following achievement of a required Level 4 qualification at Coleg Llandrillo’s multimillion pound Institute of Health and Social Care on its Rhos-on-Sea campus, these students were seconded onto the part-time BN programme at Bangor University by their NHS employers: Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and NHS primary care services.
This excellent opportunity recognises the talented healthcare workforce in North Wales, by offering a career progression pathway for existing NHS healthcare support workers.
Paul Flanagan, programme area manager for Health and Care at Coleg Llandrillo, said: "We are delighted to recognise the ongoing success and achievements of our students. This success is even more remarkable considering the huge impact of Covid during the studies of these frontline NHS workers.
“A huge well done to all and thanks to all Bangor University and BCUHB staff for supporting the students during their studies. We are really proud of the quality improvements and workforce developments this strategic partnership is delivering for our local health board.”
This innovative opportunity for healthcare support workers within North Wales reflects the close and robust, strategic working partnership between the three bodies. The initiative will benefit the local community by providing another career pathway for those who wish to join the nursing profession, thus supporting the delivery of healthcare in North Wales.
