Canolfan Gofal Anifeiliaid newydd yn plesio Llywodraethwyr a Myfyrwyr

Yn ddiweddar, fe gafodd Bwrdd Llywodraethwyr GLLM y cyfle i ymweld â datblygiad newydd ar safle Glynllifon.

Mae’r Ganolfan Anifeiliaid newydd yn ddatblygiad gwerth £3 miliwn fydd yn gartref i gyrsiau gofal anifeiliaid y coleg. Bydd y gwaith o symud yr holl anifeiliaid yn dechrau yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf, gyda myfyrwyr yn cychwyn eu hastudiaethau yno o fis Medi 2021 ymlaen.

Dywedodd Martin Jardine , Cyfarwyddwr Bwyd Amaeth Grŵp Llandrillo Menai:

“Mae gweld rhai o hen adeiladau amaethyddol stad Glynllifon yn cael eu hailwampio ar gyfer defnydd newydd fel hyn yn ddatblygiad cyffrous iawn. Mae’r adeiladau gwreiddiol yn dyddio’n ôl i’r 1850au, ac ychydig iawn o ddefnydd oedd wedi cael ei wneud ohonynt yn ystod y degawdau diwethaf

“Mae’r datblygiad hwn yn dangos ymroddiad Grŵp Llandrillo Menai i’r sector amaeth, ac yn arbennig i’r sector gofal anifeiliaid yma yn y gogledd orllewin. Mae hwn yn fuddsoddiad sylweddol iawn, ac mi fydd o’n cynnig yr adnoddau a’r cyfarpar addysgu gorau posib i’n myfyrwyr.”

Ychwanegodd:

“Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ddechrau symud ein holl anifeiliaid bach i’r ganolfan newydd yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf, yn barod i groesawu ein myfyrwyr yno ym mis Medi.”

Dywedodd Dafydd Evans, Prif Weithredwr Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.

“Braint oedd cael croesawu ein Llywodraethwyr i ymweld â’r ganolfan Anfeiliad Bychain newydd yng Nglynllifon yn ddiweddar. Mae’r sector hwn, yn sector twf yn economi gogledd Cymru. Ein gobaith ydi, y bydd yn talu ar ei ganfed mewn swyddi a chyfleoedd yn ystod y degawdau nesaf.”

Ychwanegodd:

“Ein gobaith fydd cynnal seremoni i agor y ganolfan newydd yn ystod y tymor academaidd newydd. Yn ychwanegol mae un o brif prosiectau Bid Twf Gogledd Cymru wedi ei glustnodi ar gyfer Glynllifon, sef Hwb Economi Wledig werth £13m. Yn y tymor byr rydym fel Uwch Dim Rheoli wedi cymeradwyo cynllun gwerth £30,000 i ddatblygu Hostel Glanrafon ar safle Glynllifon. Mae’r datblygiadau hyn yn dangos ein hymroddiad i gampws Glynllifon yn sicr o osod Glynllifon fel un o brif golegau amaethyddol Cymru. Mae hi’n gyfnod cyffrous a dweud y lleiaf”

The new Animal Care Centre is a £3 million development that will house the college's animal care courses. The movement of all animals will begin in the next few weeks, with students starting their studies there from September 2021 onwards.

Martin Jardine, Director of Agri-Food, said:

“It is very exciting to see some of the old agricultural buildings of Glynllifon being refurbished for a new use in this way. The original buildings date back to the 1850s, and have been little used in recent decades.

“This development demonstrates Grŵp Llandrillo Menai's commitment to the agricultural sector, and in particular to the animal care sector here in the north west of Wales. This is a very significant investment and will offer our students the best possible teaching resources and equipment. ”

He added:

"We look forward to moving all our small animals to the new centre in the coming weeks, ready to welcome our students there from September."

Dafydd Evans, Chief Executive of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, said.

“It was a privilege to welcome our Governors to visit the new Little Animal center in Glynllifon recently. This sector is a growth sector in the North Wales economy. Our hope is that it will pay dividends in jobs and opportunities over the coming decades. ”

He added:

“We hope to hold a ceremony to open the new center during the new academic term. In addition one of the main projects for the North Wales Growth Hub has been earmarked for Glynllifon, a £ 13m Rural Economy Boost. In the short term we as a Senior Management Team have approved a £ 30,000 scheme to develop the Glanrafon Hostel on the Glynllifon site. These developments demonstrate our commitment to the Glynllifon campus which will surely position Glynllifon as one of Wales' leading agricultural colleges. It's an exciting time to say the least ”
