Myfyrwyr Lefel A Pwllheli yn ymweld a gwersyll Glan-llyn
Ar fore dydd Mercher y 24ain o Dachwedd, neidiodd 16 o griw Lefel A Cymraeg Pwllheli ar fws i Wersyll yr Urdd, Glan-llyn.
Cawsant dri diwrnod llawn darlithoedd ar amryw bynciau'r cwrs safon uwch gan ddarlithwyr Adran y Gymraeg, Prifysgol Bangor yn ogystal â chyfranwyr eraill. Profiad gwerthfawr i griw'r flwyddyn gyntaf oedd cyfarfod Huw Garmon, actor y prif gymeriad yn y ffilm, Hedd Wyn, a chael clywed hanesion a blaenoriaethau'r criw wrth ffilmio.
Cafodd criw yr ail flwyddyn flas ar sesiwn Menna Baines ar Un Nos Ola Leuad, a'r drafodaeth ar elfennau hunangofiannol yr awdur, Caradog Prichard, yn y nofel. Dywedodd rhai o ferched y flwyddyn gyntaf am y profiad,
“Mae hi wedi bod yn braf cael darlithoedd gan arbeniwyr a rhai o’r beirdd eu hunain a chlywed eu hymateb nhw i’r cerddi; ac hefyd cael cymdeithasu a mwynhau’r gweithgareddau.”
Cawsant hwyl ar gystadlu yn y talwrn, ac wrth gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau yn yr awyr agored a than do, ond roedd digon o gwyno am dymheredd Llyn Tegid! Aethpwyd hefyd ar daith i gartref y Prifardd Hedd Wyn yn yr Ysgwrn, Trawsfynydd.
Dywedodd Gruffydd Rhys Davies, tiwtor Lefel A Cymraeg yng Ngholeg Meirion-Dwyfor Pwllheli.
“Braint oedd cael mynd a’n myfyrwyr i Lan-llyn, mae cynnig y math yma o brofiadau i’n myfyrwyr yn ganolog i waith ac i genhadaeth y Coleg. Mae cael gweld ein myfyrwyr yn mwynhau ac yn dysgu gan rhai o brif ysgolheigion yn eu maes yn codi calon, yn arbennig wedi bron i ddwy flynedd anodd. Diolch i Brifysgol Bangor am y cyfle gwych hwn”

They had three full days of lectures on various subjects of the A level course from lecturers from the Department of Welsh, Bangor University as well as other contributors. It was a very valuable experience for the first year crew to meet Huw Garmon, the lead actor in the film, Hedd Wyn, and to hear the crew's stories and priorities while filming.
The second year group enjoyed Menna Baines' session on Un Nos Ola Leuad, and the discussion of the autobiographical elements of the author, Caradog Prichard, in the novel. This is what some of the first year girls had to say about the visit.
"It's been nice to have lectures from experts and some of the poets themselves and to hear their reaction to the poems; and also socialising and enjoying the activities. ”
They had fun competing in the Talwrn, and taking part in outdoor and indoor activities, but there were plenty of complaints about the temperature of Llyn Tegid! We also visited the home of the poet Hedd Wyn at Yr Ysgwrn, Trawsfynydd.
Gruffydd Rhys Davies, A level Welsh tutor at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Pwllheli, said.
"It was a privilege to take our students to Glan-llyn, offering these kinds of experiences to our students is central to the work and mission of the College. Seeing our students enjoy and learn from some of the leading scholars in their field is heartwarming, especially after nearly two difficult years. Thank you to Bangor University for this great opportunity ”
