'Trefniadau cadarn' ar gyfer sicrhau ansawdd Addysg Uwch yng Ngrŵp Llandrillo Menai, yn ôl corff ansawdd annibynnol Prydain
Mae gan Grŵp Llandrillo Menai 'drefniadau cadarn' ar waith ar gyfer sicrhau safonau academaidd, rheoli ansawdd academaidd a gwella profiad myfyrwyr' - yn ôl adolygiad gan yr Asiantaeth Rheoli Ansawdd ar gyfer Addysg Uwch (QAA). Roedd yr adolygiad yn cymeradwyo'r grŵp colegol am lwyddo mewn sawl maes, yn cynnwys cymorth i fyfyrwyr a dysgu ar-lein ac o bell.
Cafwyd 3 cymeradwyaeth i gydnabod; y cymorth o ansawdd uchel y mae'r Grŵp yn ei ddarparu i ddysgwyr Addysg Uwch, y cyfleusterau dysgu ac addysgu cynhwysfawr, yn enwedig y defnydd o dechnoleg i ddarparu profiad dysgu cynhwysfawr i fyfyrwyr.
Dywedodd Lawrence Wood, Pennaeth Coleg Llandrillo, 'Mae canlyniad yr adolygiad hwn yn dangos ymrwymiad y Grŵp i ddarparu addysg uwch lleol o ansawdd uchel a chefnogi twf economaidd yn yr ardal. Mae hefyd yn dystiolaeth bellach o waith caled ac ymrwymiad ein staff i gefnogi pob dysgwr a sicrhau eu bod yn llwyddo. Wrth edrych i'r dyfodol, byddwn yn parhau i ddatblygu ein darpariaeth gan sicrhau ei fod yn diwallu anghenion ein cyflogwyr a'n cymunedau'.
Ychwanegodd, 'Hoffem ddiolch i'r QAA, y panel am y ffordd y cynhaliwyd yr adolygiad ac i'r staff a'r dysgwyr a gymerodd ran yn yr adolygiad'.
Mae Grŵp Llandrillo Menai yn parhau i ehangu ei bortffolio o gyrsiau Addysg Uwch, yn annibynnol ac mewn partneriaeth gyda sefydliadau Addysg Uwch gan gynnwys Prifysgol Canol Swydd Gaerhirfyn, Prifysgol Glyndŵr ac Edexcel. Yn ogystal â'r rhaglenni gradd anrhydedd a'r diplomau cenedlaethol uwch traddodiadol, mae'r coleg wedi bod yn flaenllaw wrth ddatblygu a hyrwyddo Graddau Sylfaen a chyrsiau galwedigaethol arloesol ac unigryw.
Mae'r Ganolfan Brifysgol gwerth £4.5 miliwn ar gampws y coleg yn Llandrillo-yn-Rhos, a adeiladwyd mewn partneriaeth â Phrifysgol Bangor ac sy'n ganolfan ar gyfer bron i 1,000 o ddysgwyr, yn darparu cyfleusterau dysgu ac addysgu wedi eu teilwra i fyfyrwyr Addysg Uwch mewn un canolfan bwrpasol, yn hytrach nag mewn lleoliadau gwahanol ar draws y campysau.

Three commendations were given in recognition of; the high quality support the Grŵp provides to all Higher Education learners, the comprehensive teaching and learning facilities and particularly the use of technology to deliver an inclusive student learning experience.
Lawrence Wood, Principal at Coleg Llandrillo, said, “The outcome of this review demonstrates the Grŵp’s commitment to delivering high quality, local, Higher Education provision supporting economic growth in the region. This is also recognition of the hard work and commitment of our staff to support every individual learner to achieve. Looking forward, we will continue to develop our provision ensuring it meets the needs of the employers and the communities we serve."
He added: “We would like to thank the QAA, the panel for the way they undertook the review, and to our staff and learners who participated actively in the review.”
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai continues to expand its portfolio of Higher Education courses, both independently and in partnership with Higher Education institutions including the University of Central Lancashire, Glyndŵr University and Edexcel. As well as the more traditional honours degree programmes and higher nationals, the college has been at the forefront in developing and promoting innovative and unique Foundation Degrees and vocational courses.
The £4.5million University Centre Coleg Llandrillo (UCCL) at the college’s Rhos-on-Sea campus, which was built in partnership with Bangor University and is the base for nearly 1,000 learners, provides Higher Education students with bespoke teaching and learning facilities in one dedicated centre, rather than in different locations across the campus.
